At Jack Rabbit, nestled in the stunning landscape of Lake Tekapo, we're undergoing exciting developments and are seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our dedicated front-of-house team. What You'll Be Doing:
  • Inspire and Lead: Oversee all daily front-of-house operations, fostering a positive and high-performing team environment.
  • Team Development: Effectively lead, roster, manage, and motivate the front-of-house team, ensuring optimal staffing levels and smooth service.
  • Seamless Service: Act as the crucial link between the kitchen and bar teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient order flow for exceptional guest experiences.
  • Champion Standards: Maintain impeccable service standards, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the restaurant.
  • Guest Delight: Proactively deliver outstanding customer service, anticipate guest needs, and effectively handle feedback to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Talent Acquisition & Growth: Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new team members, providing ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
What You Bring:
  • Proven Leadership: Minimum of 6 months of demonstrable experience in a hospitality leadership role, with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively interact with staff and guests.
  • Organized and Proactive: Highly organized, reliable, and proactive approach to managing operations and problem-solving.
  • Guest-Obsessed: A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a keen eye for detail.
  • Operational Expertise: Experience with staff rostering, inventory management basics, and the day-to-day operational flow of a restaurant.
  • Work Eligibility: A valid work visa for New Zealand (if applicable).
