Hi!
We require a self motivated ,energetic and happy person to help us and our team with housekeeping, reception and cooking in our Motel & Lodge in beautiful Tongariro National park. We need someone for our winter season starting early July to mid October 2025 Experience is essential and we do have accommodation available which goes with the job.(free only to experienced persons)
The work you would be doing is varied, fun and interesting and include:
Reception duties:
Checking guests into the lodge and office work, answering the phone and using our Aurelian booking system, also answering emails ( so excellent English is necessary). Training will be provided.
Marketing and social media updates are also included so experience with this field would be preferable
Housekeeping duties :
Cleaning lodge and motel rooms when needed - full training will be given however experience in cleaning motels/hotels is essential.
This is 75% of the job so if you don't like cleaning it's not for you.
Kitchen duties:
Making breakfast and cut lunches. We do a on the run breakfast for the people that are on our shuttle for the Tongariro crossing.So kitchen experience and affinity with cooking is required. If you dont like getting up early the job is not for you.
Next to this some driving is also required so a full clean driving licence is necessary.
Approximate hours would be varied each day - but the job is approximately 35- 40 hours a week. Some days we are very busy others we are not busy). You will get a day off each week to rest and recuperate(sometimes more depending on work load) and to explore this beautiful part of the North Island. We believe in a happy balance to life! Next to that you will be part of a team that work together to run this small family owned business.
