About the Role
As a Duty Manager at Haka House Lake Tekapo, you’ll be the go-to person during your shift — keeping things running smoothly, supporting the team, and ensuring every guest has a top-tier experience. It’s a hands-on role with real impact, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Running daily operations during your shift — check-ins, guest support, and problem-solving
- Leading and supporting the team to deliver exceptional service
- Maintaining hostel cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards ????
- Handling cash transactions and balancing tills ????
- Enforcing policies to ensure a safe, respectful environment
- Creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere for guests and staff ????
- Contributing ideas and feedback in team meetings to help us grow
