Full Job Description
Looking to experience New Zealand’s rural lifestyle while earning and exploring? We have several immediate-start dairy roles available across the South Island for backpackers and Working Holiday Visa holders with prior milking experience — either in New Zealand or overseas.
These farms are set in some of the most scenic parts of the country, giving you the perfect balance of rewarding work and outdoor adventure on your days off!

Summary:

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily milking and plant wash procedures
  • Carry out general farm duties including stock movement and feeding
  • Support animal health and welfare (feeding, treatments, calving assistance)
  • Maintain hygiene, safety, and equipment standards
  • Work collaboratively within a team to achieve farm targets
Requirements:
  • Previous milking experience (NZ or overseas with larger herds) – essential
  • Good level of English and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and positive attitude
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand (AEWV not available)
  • Reliable transport and current driver’s licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
