About the role:
The Edit Picton is a stunning hotel located by the harbour, the perfect location to explore the dramatic local coastline and New Zealand wine country. This 49-room boutique hotel has recently been refurbished and is looking for a casual Hotel Attendant to service our newly renovated rooms and look after our public areas.
Your role is to be a key member of our Food and Beverage team! As an all-rounder for our Food and Beverage team, you will be an excellent communicator, well organised and be able to build a natural rapport with our guests. This can be a fantastic opportunity to grow a career in hospitality for a candidate who wishes to grow in the field.
This is a fixed-term position from January to the end of April 2026, making this a perfect opportunity for someone who wants to work whilst enjoying the stunning Marlborough in the warm weather.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Front of House services in the restaurant including preparing the continental breakfast spread/
- Assist the bar services and deliver beverages
- Connect with guests and upsell Hotel's products
- Ensure that the venue is kept clean at all time
- Understand the company policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of other staff members and guests.
Skills and Requirements:
- Flexibility to work morning (breakfast) and evening (dinner) shifts, including split shifts if required.
- Previous experience in a similar Food and Beverage role in any hospitality environment.
- Excellent command of both verbal and written English
- Impeccable personal hygiene and grooming standards
- Working knowledge of POS system or willing to learn how to use the system
- Current eligibility to work in NZ is a must
