We are a small hostel located in central Queenstown looking to add 1-2 additional team members to our housekeeping crew. This role is in exchange for accommodation.
We are looking to fill these positions immediately. For this reason, we will only accept applicants who are already in Queenstown or the surrounding areas and can start straight away. The sooner you can start, the better.
Our housekeepers work 4 days a week on a 4-hour shift from 10am - 2pm. Therefore, you would be looking to pick up around 16 hours of work a week, the wages of which go towards paying for your accommodation with a little bit extra in your pocket.
Responsibilities include:
Cleaning/re-making beds,
Cleaning rooms/bathrooms/common areas,
Working within your allocated shift to complete all tasks,
Providing high quality cleans with an eye for detail,
Carrying occasionally heavy linen bags & vacuum cleaners between our three floors.
Summary:
Requirements:
A reasonable level of English,
Experience with housekeeping is preferred but not essential,
An IRD and bank account ready to go,
Minimum stay of 2 months.
In return for your work, you will be provided with a pod in our 6-pod staff dormitory, and the weekly rent for this pod will be deducted from your fortnightly wages. Therefore, this role is best suited to someone who is looking to work in exchange for accommodation. In addition, you may be able to pick up extra work in housekeeping if required.
If possible, we encourage potential applicants to come into the hostel to apply so that we can get to know one-another in addition to showing you around. We are located at 11 Henry Street in Queenstown.
Alternatively, if you believe you'd be a good fit for the role, please feel free to respond to this post and we will reach out the appropriate candidates to ask for your CV.
