About Us
Haka House Hostels is a multi-award-winning group of backpacker hostels, proudly leading the way in New Zealand’s hostel scene. We’re all about warm welcomes, top-tier service, and creating a home away from home for every traveler who walks through our doors.
Our properties set the standard for backpacker accommodation, and it’s our passionate, enthusiastic, and intuitive team that brings the Haka House vibe to life.
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who:
  • Brings positive energy and a can-do attitude (experience in hostels or hotels is a bonus, but not essential!)
  • Has excellent time management and communication skills
  • Is passionate about travel and Aotearoa
  • Has a sharp eye for detail and takes pride in their work
  • Can work evenings and weekends (minimum 35 hours per week on a rotating roster)
  • Holds a valid NZ passport or work visa

Summary:

Location Details
This role is based in Mount Cook, one of New Zealand’s most stunning alpine destinations. Please note:
  • A car is required as we are in a rural location.
  • The nearest supermarket is about an hour’s drive away, so planning ahead is essential.
