We are a locally owned hospitality group with 3 venues in the Auckland area & a brand new opening in Wellington, and we are currently seeking a passionate & experienced DUTY MANAGER/HOST to join our team. This position is for PONSONBY or CBD site.
As a duty manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations, including managing inventory, training staff, creating and executing beverage programs, and maintaining high levels of customer service. You will also be responsible for creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for our guests. You will work closely with our kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
Our ideal candidate should have:
- Previous experience in a restaurant role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or bar environment
- Strong leadership and management skills
- A deep understanding of reservation & waitlist systems, eftpos & pos operations, and essential administrative softwares such as Microsoft Word/Excel & more
- Ability to remain calm and make quality judgement call
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings
- Current GM Certificate & LCQ would be preferred, but we are happy to sponsor the right candidate
