    Tailor Every Cover Letter to the Role

    A generic cover letter is immediately recognisable — and rarely effective. Every cover letter you write should be specifically tailored to the role and organisation you are applying to. Reference the company by name, demonstrate knowledge of their work, and connect your background explicitly to their stated requirements.

    Open with Impact

    Your opening paragraph should capture attention immediately. Rather than beginning with "I am writing to apply for the position of…" — which adds no value — open with a confident statement about who you are professionally and why you are excited about this opportunity.

    Connect Your Experience to Their Needs
